Hi Pete, I've seen it done using an old time bottle opener. Although I have never tried it I'm going to need to in the near future. Any thoughts about this way. And good luck in Moab, place looks awesome!
and remember to tell them when painting the car only spray enough paint to color cover the dip rail as to make it easier to install the trim without chipping the new finish.
You can also use the pry bar and twist it then the lip will come off also
