Drip Rail Moldings. … Also known as rain gutter trim, are the thin moldings that sit along the top of the roof-line on both sides of the vehicle, and are essential towards protecting your car’s shiny finish and are a product that protects against paint chipping and metal rusting. Most classic automobiles have these items installed on them, and are also a symbol of beauty. Drip Rail Moldings are either made of Stainless Steel or Aluminum, and in some cases Plastic. They can be replaced with aftermarket replicas (when available) or can also be restored to their original beauty and luster if processed by a professional that knows how to do so! Removal of the drip rail moldings should be taken in care so as not to ruin them, and are very delicate and can be ruined easily.

Great technique Pete. Once again thanks for sharing your knowledge and skills. Next time I won’t use molegrips and tape.

Good video. You almost have made me confident enough to try a ground up restor' on my 79 Ford F150 4X4. I have completed the mechanical stuff. Solid 351 mod. New auto tranny, rear axel rebuild all bearings and brakes, drums and cylinders. Front Dana 4X4 needs to be rebuilt next. New master and booster, front brakes and bearings complete however the spiders are lose. I have bad bed wheel wells and will need lower rear fender pieces. Paint needs to be totally removed. Trim is great but bumpers and tailgate suck. Floor pans are out. I need an off frame restor. Frame is pitted. I think black Por 15 for that but I want the axels and suspension parts a contrasting color. Springs both leaf and coils plus all suspension parts will need paint but what color. I have seen a lot of red used but axel and small suspension parts, but do not blow my skirt. I would like multiple suspension colors to match my new bushings everywhere. I can easily brush paint the underside if I can make up my mind on the colors.

Now for my mules ear to chew on, I am widowed for 4+ years. You need to fess up and be nice to yours. Mine went in two days. Piss poor time to forgive 46 years of my stupidity. Just a thought man, I don't mean nuttin' by it.

If you have a color combination for suspension , frame and axel colors I could use some suggestions.

Next, where is part 2? I have trouble following the extra parts of your great videos.

Peace and love to you and yours, that is what counts and what I miss,
