Hey just subscribed…got a scratch on rear quarter panel of my caddy …pretty deep. I uploaded a video just wondering if I need any filler or do I just follow the same process ? Mind taking a look?

Thanks for the tips. I have a older vehicle,84 that need some attention to the many stone chips with rust.

  3. Rob

thank you – this is the only way to do it – no magic wipe on wipe off – simply good old fashion hard work

You failed to mention the wool pad, and the fact ypu will need to wet sand, or colour sand and buff the entire vehicle. Other than that, good job

I do not have a garage. Can I still do this process for paint chips?

Can anybody recommend a good quality touch up paint that has the built in clear coat like the one used in the video? After looking at quite a few different brands i don't know which ones have built in clear coat…

What about color pens with 2 sides (one side color and other side clear coat)? Thanks

Do you think it would be a good idea if you took some 600 sandpaper and went over it maybe 5 or 6 passes just to scuff up the surface so that when you dab on that paint your dabbing over the surface that’s been lightly sanded, I know maybe I’m nitpicking.

What about clear coat? Is it necessary? And if so, would you wet sand base coat, then clear coat & re-wet sand? Thanks!

Awesome video mate. Id got 2 annoying chips on the front wing, sorry fender to you! on my silver 2017 mustang and after watching this and growing some balls to do it they are now totally gone. The trouble is my mates now want me to do their cars too. Thanks again for a great video.
