And you can order your parts from Germany, use the autodoc app. Quality parts for really cheap prices. Compared to prices here in Sweden it's more than 50% cheaper. For example a starter costs 250£ for my VW passat 2004. From Germany the same brand starter costs 80£.
Oil and filter ALL DAY LONG!!
If you have the car up on ramps why not just pull the drain plug so the sludge will drain from the pan?
Have you got a rubber roof on your garage?
I been telling my aunt that her oil needs changing but now her car has passed it's M.O.T she thinks it's okay to leave it. It makes me so mad! I've had my car 12 years from new and I have never had engine trouble and all I have ever done is change oil every 5000 miles.
For a 1.8t the Quattro is the most expensive to maintain, no matter what base. Haldex goes wrong it can scrap a car, main reason why you can pick up basically the same Tt anywhere in the country for £800.
Difference between bam and auq/Agu ect cost wise is minimum. Replacing a ko3 or ko4 their about the same price, haldex is the issue for me. Clutch shafts arms controller to name a few.
I got one of those oil suckers after seeing one of your videos a while back. On my Mitsubishi L200 there’s 2 steel plates that you have too remove to get to the oil plug, don’t need to piss about removing them anymore ?
Maintenance isn't expensive? Come on man… Tyres are part of maintenance right? You can get a regular car and pay 40-70 pounds per tyre or you can get a range rover and you'll pay 400-800 pounds per tyre… Nothing to do with neglect either, they just wear out and you gotta change them.
Compared to that underside oil filter, I love the mk4 diesel oil filter design – cap on top, and filter cartridge inside. I cringed when I saw the oil leaking over your hand. Mostly, because I'm due to change the oil cooler's seals, so I'll have that mess you had. No real way around it, except maybe if I use my extractor to pull a bit more oil out of the filter housing/cooler's "sump".
I bought a 02 plate TT 225 3 months down the line gear box and clutch went ? thought you would of done pick up aswell
