Recharge your AC system properly. I go though all of the steps on how to safely charge your air conditioning system with refrigerant. First you need to evacuate the system, then pull a vacuum, and then add the correct amount of refrigerant based on weight.

Everyone Read This Please!!!. I bought a new pump and gages to do this. After I hooked it all up and ran for a bit I noticed all the fittings were loose and had to snug them ALL back up. He's right about only going hand tight on the fittings just check them first if you notice your system isn't holding vacuum. Oh and thanks for the video my man great info.

Great video! Do you know the adapters I would need to hook manifold guages on a old R12 system?

Bud Chris I just replaced my ac compressor on my 2012 jetta with the help of this video. Everything came out good. I tried to put the exact amount of refrigerant with a scale and maybe was over by 50ish grams. Car needed 550g and by my scale I put about 600g. My ac is cold at night but in the day when it’s like 95 degrees the air coming out is cool but not cold enough to cool the car. It’s 85 degrees currently and my low pressure side is reading 35psi and high side is reading 155psi. Is this normal ?

So if you install a new compressor with the oil already installed won't you remove the oil when performing a vacuum on the system?

You cannot purchase refrigerant without a licence. International law changes in recent years have banned all over the counter sales.
BEWARE as the fines for offenders caught are beyond astronomical !!

Great vid. Can someone explain when we need to use this method and when it's ok to use the fast and easy method that Chris explains in his other air con video?

I followed this video step by step and my ac is running like new the only thing I would recommend is after you finish with the second can Close the valve all the way down and purge the rest of the line using the gauges to get the refrigerant out of the yellow line and now you can disconnect the yellow line from the can

So Chris, are you saying not to do the bottle refrigerant your other video says?
