@alstonian78 Thanks for subbing. Pete
whats the difference between wet sanding the hole pannel and using the scotch like u use it ?
@shianan wetsanding the whole panel will cause sand paper streaks, and since your blending the paint using a scotchbrite will cover more surface and give you a more even sand job, so when you clearcoat you don't see any sand streaks in it…
Pete I have a problem. I hited my car on the left rear fender above the taillight. I prepared that surface for painting, but how can I paint just that hitted part, so that I dont need to paint the whole rear fender?
man what is rich's problem he needs to get with the program.
If I would be rich I would still work on cars, just for fun.
An alternative for Scuff it, is the car wash. Or wait: at the car wash a panel would be scratched and not only scuffed.
Pete doesnt seem to like Rich very much lol.
Hey pete, anything out there similar to scuff it you could pick up for cheap that isn't necessarily for scuffing paint. Just something with small abrasives in it? There HAS to be something!
Before scuff-it I used to use that bathtub cleaner, same form, same abrasive, I forgot the name of it though, Works good, just remember to clean your vehicle off throughly by washing it and rinsing it with water… If I remember the name Ill let you know.
How about toothpaste? I know there are tiny abrasives in that I don't know if they'd break down too quick or not.
I'll just try something fuck it
