    I thought your primer fan was very narrow instead of wide. I'd guess you are using less air pressure to avoid a ton of overspray and you have the time. Not sure. My devilbiss FLG-3 has a 2.2 tip and it can 'dial down' the fluid when needed too.

    Wait hold up, so you don't have to sand it down all the way to primer? I noticed that all you did to the blue paint was you scuffed it up to where its like faded, and I know you have to get rid of the clear coat as well, but all I'm asking is that it's okay to scuff up the paint and it'll be ready for primer?
