Good video. My experience is though if you don't trim the plug,if it's in a front tire it can pull-out when turning its happened twice to me. I now trim all of them. Thank you for your time and video.
Just curious was the hole in the shoulder of the tire
I hope you didn't drive with that tire and that this was just an example of how to fix a tire, because the one you showed us is dry rotted to absolute hell and is 5 seconds away from a blowout at anything over 50 mph. I tried trailering a little 18 foot bay boat home 40 miles with a tire on it that looked like that. Doing 65 mph, it made it 8 miles before it exploded and destroyed my fender.
It sounds like it's still leaking!
How long they last?
You can also double plug in a pinch. Was shown that at a tire shop.
Not 5 minutes if you have off-road tires
Thanks, just did my first one and this gave me the added confidence to do it! I will add that you should probably put the rubber cement on the entire plug before you push it in to the hole like one of the other commenters had mentioned.
