love your philosophy of quality over quantity and things lasting a long time. This is something the japanese value as well not surprised those wiper blades are japanese.
we need more things that last longer.
Can you use regular alcohol to clean the wipers ??
The reason the blades make that horrible sound is that they become deformed. Take a look at them. They will be bent in one direction. So they will be quiet in one direction, and noisy in the other. They also will not work as well in the noisy direction. Back when you could just replace the blade, I would reverse the blade about every 3 months. Made them last longer. Not sure if you can do that with the newer ones.
Alcohol, the solution to all the problems in life.
I hate having to buy and store another chemical. Why not try…
1. Soapy water
2. Moist hand wipes (towelettes)
3. rubbing alcohol
4. Nail polish remover
5. Brake cleaner
6. Electric parts cleaner
ive used these on my twin bonanza fir years and have not changed them once. I do cross country flights all the time plus shuttling friends to and from places mostly in the rain!
Denatured alcohol is great for cleaning gun where you don’t want gun oil.
