In todays video I buy the three highest rated windshield repair kits that I can find on Amazon and try them out. It just so happens that I have three cracks in my windshields and plenty of time. This video can also serve as a complete walkthrough on how to use each of these kits. Below are the links to each kit if you would like to try them out for yourself.

Just got a dinger two weeks in with my new car. Hoping this starburst I got can be fixed with the rain x.
Nice video, and neatly done with skill. Even though my insurance company fully covers repairs, Safelite told me they did not want to repair my small impact chip with <1/2" total straight line crack. They said they would need to drill it out and it may result in making it worse. I left a little confused. Your video provides confidence that the RainX system will at least improve the look. I'll give it a try.
For how many minutes should be left when the first drops are put.
Thanks.
14:08 so the resin from the rain x kit is better quality? sets clearer etc? do you think its worth the extra money over the orange knock off version then? which is 1/3 the price.
Thanks for sharing 👍🏽
was that a sssssstrip or a strip?
Hello great review, I am about to try this. I actually got a repair from a shop for a small chip but the result was not 100% happy. So I am planning to do an addition on top of their fix. Do you think it could get better or worse?
Thanks,I will purchase the RainX. Great job explaining how it works.
dont do it, if you dont know how you run the risk of turning a chip into a crack.
I was gonna buy the Rain-X kit, but one of the reviews said he regretted not getting a kit with the syringe to force resin into the crack. So I went with the Permatex kit. Came out very well. The line crack is basically gone and the bulleyes looks like just a tiny chip now. So these kits do work. You just have to do it before it spreads too much. I had a 1 CM crack that became about an inch after 6-7 months. Decided to take care of it now before my safety inspection. Well worth the price.
