This all started with a stone chip in the paint and overtime, the exposed metal rusted and has bubbled beneath the surrounding paint. This is what happens if rock chips are left alone, so cover up chips with touch up paint as soon as you see them.
This chip got really bad and the rust has spread, causing the surrounding paint to bubble. Today I’ll strip it down, fill the pitted areas with body filler and prime & paint the repair area to blend in with the original OEM paint on the rest of the roof.

gówno-naprawa. po roku znow będzie grzyb z rdzy. nie zastosowano preparatu antykorozyjnego. na gołą rdzę poszła szpachla która spuchnie. nawet podkładu pod te szpachle nie dano.

Thank you, this is exactly what I wanted to see in the same area on my car. I will let ya know how I do. Unfortunately it's a bigger spot and deeper (dealer painted over the rust) It's not leaking YET so I have my fingers crossed.

YOU HAVE TO TREAT THE RUST OR IT WILL COME BACK!!!!!

Don't you have to apply filler over primer? Not bare metal?

The only thing I would have done different is to use a 2k clear and properly melt/blend it into the existing clear. Not only for a bit better asthetics, but to really lock in the repair so it's less vulernable.

    Just like the professionals do😂

Any other way of doing this? This method only seems to last a year and a half before the body filler falls off and I have to do it all again.

A Dremel drill would be a much better choice for such a small area. Shops like Micro Mark have the tools you need for prepping the surface, repainting, and polishing it out.
