In my experience the only way you stop a car from rusting is to shoot it into outer space.

Please stop hating. This is a very good way to repair a hole for 75$ instead of paying a professionnal shop 1400$. Of course it will not last forever, but if the car is at the end his service life, why not!? You don’t do this on a collection car, you do this one year or two before a car will go to scrap metal, just to don’t get harass by the cops. I always use POR-15, best product on the market !

Used por15 for years . Best product I've ever found if you seal both sides or as they call it encapsulated. Never had a failure when done properly. Costly but works. Even used on a boat trailer fender that goes in and out of salt water landing 20 yrs no rust lasted longer than the galvanizing.
