Can't do any of that parking in VA. Everyone parks over the line.
That 3 point turn also isn't how people do it here. It's usually "I gotta turn around, let me yank the wheel in front of traffic and make my u-turn as slow as possible."
That the way i park my 1925 model T everyday.

Bruh, in South Africa, all these manoeuvres are done during The Basic Driving License Test, in the field. If you fail these, you don’t even leave the yard for the road test, you fail.
If you hit a cone you fail, so we have to know the manoeuvres precisely. You can’t just guess.

My best advice is to be aware. I'm most proud of something I did some 30 years ago. Was at an intersection where there were 2 left turn lanes and I was in the right hand one. Light turns green for us to turn and the car to my left moved and then stopped. I stopped as well but couldn't see anything going on but I stopped none the less. A car then blew right thru the intersection and he might've killed me had I continued. As I say I saw nothing but the car to my left refusing to go thru the green. I've a few more stories but I figure that this one is the most helpful to most.
