Hey Scotty, Can i use a high mileage synthetic oil on a new car?

  2. Frederic Koch

Thank for great post. can you make a review on Baldwin oil filters someday

  3. Foxie Dog

Scotty, I buy mobile 1 oil and the filter. I drive less then 5000 miles a year. My Van is a 05 Town and Country Limited. Still change it every 3000 miles or once a year. I'm going to try to do this myself. Thanks

No mention to pre fill oil filter (if possible) I’ve always un screwed the filter before I put plug in more oil comes out of the plug, and unscrew the oil fill. And…..don’t tighten your plug nice and tight…snug people

Do external oil pumps with a hose down the dipstick tube really substitute for removing the oil via the drain plug?

  6. Leonardokite

Love it! What a change to now.

I buy a premium filter and use it for 2 oil changes. The filter change is the pain in the tush part.

Tell me you wouldn't get seriously injured if a corvette or other low slung sports car fell on you with tires on. Hummm jack stands jack stands…..

  8. wreck'em tech

Only half a quart of oil came out of my 350z so I guess I'll only put half a quart back in…

Problem is….in USA, oils that are NOT 100% synthetic ….CAN be sold as "100% synthetic"….something that is not allowed in other countries, where you get what the label says. How can that be?….it's US laws that allow "highly-refined" natural hydrcarbon oils that "Almost" act like pure synthetics…..to be allowed to be sold as pure synthetic. And don't buy "synthetic blend"…..because the consumer thinks 40-50% synthetic when he buys "blend"…when all it has to have is a "smidge" of synthetic, and you have "synthetic blend". Scammed again. A Quality "name brand" oil changed often with a good quality filter ( not Fram anymore !!….but Wix, Purulator, or the ones Scotty says is OK)….is all you have to do.
