You need proper ventilation and a chemical vapor/VOC mask that will filter out MEK and a pair of gloves that are resistant to MEK. I had a friend whose brain was fried from using these types of chemicals (VOCs) at work without proper ventilation, or proper masks and gloves (it was a small business and he apparently refused to use mandated protective gear). After years of neglecting his health in this way, he quickly went from having a photographic memory to having no memory at all of his business, family or friends. He died a few months later. The damage done to your brain, liver and kidneys is generally found to be irreversible. Get and read the MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) on this and similar products that you use, and follow all precautions on the MSDS and on the containers the chemicals come in. You may think this is a big joke now, but if you live long enough, your family will thank you.
