You don't need no "special glue" STEP 1 Buy a can of this special liquid bonding stuff I'm not sure what it is oh yeah it's glue and it murders you.

Why not use Testors model car glue? ABS is what it's designed for and it comes in small tubes. Oh,you can do a butt weld with it!! MEK is the liquid used in fiberglass construction, highly dangerous

MEK evaporates slower than acetone but otherwise practically the same. As to safety, beer and wine will kill you long before MEK or acetone can.

Hey John, any tips for bonding ABS to metal? I want to make new door panels on my 1979 Mercedes, but the original is a straight piece of Masonite/cardboard that is bonded to a metal lip at the top, which curves around the top of the door. Then the entire thing is covered in upholstery.

    Thanks
