On Episode 11 of the web series Hands-On Cars, Kevin Tetz shows you how to bodywork the Camaro and use Primer-Surfacer, Guide Coat and different styles of sanding blocks to get it laser straight. Then KT takes you for a ride in a beautiful unrestored 1959 Chevy Impala!

Visit Eastwood for Sanding Blocks:

Kevin’s buddies show up to help bodywork the Camaro – including Chris Slee from Kiwi Classics and Customs and TC Penick from Bay One Customs, plus engine builder John Bouchard. In a day’s time, the bodywork was done on the Camaro, the gaps were set, a new trunk lid was added, a new hood was shaped into place with a piece of 2×4 and an Eastwood MIG 175 welder – and then KT laid down the Eastwood High Build Primer-Surfacer and started block sanding to get the panels laser straight.

This is definitely a crew of Eastwood Guys! Are You an Eastwood Guy?

Hands-On Cars is an online TV Series produced by The Eastwood Company and Kevin Tetz.

we r near to pnt where cars will b judged on the tech special to each model. Or the beauty of era & fit & finish & how better than new the finished product. Either the car is fun or has some kind of emotional meaning or is that few rare models that stood out in there day. Or again just a tech thing a product thing to b driven & thrown away, no mass production <cars> other than tech left. It is a good thing for fab shops & paint shops & restorers & frame off restorers. Mom ^ Pop garage shops will shine or ppl will b tech under warranty going back to dealer b4 lease up. The age of the car is dead. Mass production & new materials & robots & tech take over will make it throw away batteries worn out or rebuild restored 2nd life car just as fun as it was or better than new can stop disk & ABS NOW & AC works. Natue of the car beast they hve reached that pnt, fast enough, efficient enough no races left no diff left, how cheap & fast can u crank them out & how long is the warranty last, robot built.

body lines don't need to change from biyr to bi yr just what new tech on it newest model, 1 maker vs another maker all the same no diff same prts suppliers, power ratings who cares, robots to expensive to stop or reprogram just change the tech button features throwing it away soon enough body panels all plastic cheaper than paint anyway.

Car making is very mature market near punching them out of mold stage soon. Again means good time for small shops custom shops paint shops & restorer shops work for ever in front of u. Old cars never right, never finished & endless supply of potential work still not crushed around. Hopefully at least 1 maker like Jeep ppl car will hve a 2nd act/life built into there product not every thing made robot throw away quality product very near future.
