You shouldn’t fill the filter. Reason is that goes straight to your engine without been filtered. Matter fact some manufacturers label their product and says DO NOT fill filter.

Even thought it’s clean oil you should always pour it in the outside holes so the oil gets filtered not fine the centre hole as this is the out let of the filter and if any contamination is in the oil you will be putting it into your engine.

People always wonder why I change my oil every 3k miles. It's because I drive it like I stole it. Kinda have to to keep up in my old honda lol

You should always put oil in the filter the filter no if you filter goes on sideways you don't fill it as much because you're gonna make a mess but you should always put oil in the filter in the filter and some around the yoring so it doesn't stick to the block

Ok now what if the oil filter says 20k miles? Mobil 1 or K&N?

If that’s an oem Toyota oil filter, they come pre lubed on the o ring.

Thanks for taking the time to make this video, the only thing I was thinking to add would be to tell people to make sure that that rubber seal is still attached to the old oil filter , and not stuck to the engine block, sometimes people don’t notice that it’s still stuck there from the old filter and they spin on the new one and they get a leak because of a double O ring

Nice note about the filter not lasting 20k, that's fake advertising
