Ive been doing body/paint for 40 years..people don't understand what it takes on a paint job…Thanx MAACO for saying well we will do a nice job for 1000 bucks …BULLSHIT..!!…I have done full size 90's trucks like you talked about and people freak out when you say 5000..OH OH I didn't think it would be that much..!!…the paint and materials are a 1000 BITCH..!!!

To Pete and all other professional painters, if I PROPERLY strip my 1963 impala with poly strip disc and then epoxy primer the car so that I save 1k on media blasting and reveal all the damage and rust hidden under the couple coats of paint is this really a bad thing? Or am I helping by saving myself $ and your time while also being able to get more of a closer estimate because all the flaws are now visible and there should be no surprises later on?
Or the other problem we have is telling the customer is I charge by the hour..say 50 bucks what ever, They will still want a guesstimate…!!!
Honestly it would take 16 hours a day for a year to do those two cars

Lift the box off the truck and paint the back of the cab and front of the box. Now paint the box, inside and out, then the cab, inside and out
