Hi Scotty, I live in Canada and I drive a 2013 Dodge Grand Caravan with 121,000 Km on it (75,000 miles), the front left shock is leaking and needs to be replaced .. should I replace both the front assemblies including shocks, mounts, springs, struts,….etc (as recommended by dealership) or only replace both front shocks? noting that I intend to keep the vehicle for at least two years?

Got 340k out of my 93 Acura Integra with the original engine and transmission. At 288k now on my Tsx with its original engine/trans , neither been opened up. Both bought used with 130k miles so yeah, Acuras are a good bet.

Just the fact that the two gas struts holding the hood up are still working is surprising. Unless they've been replaced like the radiator fans…

Had a 1991 Honda CRX HF…..it finally died doing 90 on interstate 71 in Georgia keeping up with traffic….ate a piston ring. Had 689,324 miles on it. The worse thing about it was….I replaced the clutch after 675,000 miles and was coming back home from Florida. Drove that car for over 20 years. Best car I ever owned and it got over 50 MPG.
