I gave up trying to buy a used car on Craigslist and Facebook Marketplace after my 2000 Toyota Camry with 185k miles that ran perfectly was destroyed in a hit and run. Virtually everything's from dealers posing as private sellers and no one I messaged would allow me to test drive the cars they posted and let a mechanic inspected. I'm just taking public transportation as these dealers hope someone desperate will buy their cars without properly inspecting them.
Hopefully no one will buy something like that
So I've come to find out that there's no-one better than Scotty to help fix my 1984 Mercury Grand Marquis coupe LS. We'll maybe Vice Grip garage. Every shop I've called they say "we'll have to pass it's too old" it has a battery drain. Not from the typical stuff tho. Maybe old EFI wiring. Idk. She'll run and drive great with a charged up battery tho. Can't seem to find the right person to help me fix her. Eventually tho. I'm never selling it. It's got 52k miles. For a 1984. That's crazy! Entire car is Tennessee solid. A true survivor

Scotty i purchased a car 2 months ago.. From a dealership named American Car Center located in Memphis,Tn ..It was a Chrysler 200 S 2015 84k miles on it.. Engine failure after the 4th week.. Haven't even gotten the proper tags for it yet . So next they traded it out for used 2014 Kia Sorento 79k miles.. 3 weeks in.. The Engine fails.. Keep in mind i got the 200s on the 29th of August 2021.. Got the Kia September 25th. Kia goes out 3 weeks later. And of course they provided a rental car through Enterprise for both Vehicles.. With a 7 day usage policy.. Which is crazy on all levels.. Because it took 7 days just to tell me the 200s couldn't be fix.. And im on my 4th day with the rental i have now.. Im not even gonna tell you about the 2020 Dodge journey crossroads they let me have this week at Enterprise.. And it even had engine failure and ran hot after 2 days scotty!!!! So i swap that out at enterprise for a Van a 2017 Chrysler.. It goes back monday.. Friday tomorrow i got to pick out another car for the third time within a 3 month span.. Im looking at 2015 Dodge Journey 86k miles. And Mabye a 2016 Ford Fusion 84k miles.. They have some Hyundai's up there, some kia's, a few dodge avengers.. Some Honda civics late models 2015/16..
Some Chevy Equinoxs..
Whatever i do decide to get im taking it to a authorized dealer and getting a full diagnostic on the car..
Something i didn't do the 1st 2 times..

Scotty touched on it, but none of our Politicians or Corporate Auto makers are even talking about the 600 pound gorilla in the living room. The fact is: THERE IS NOT EVEN CLOSE TO ENOUGH ELECTRICITY IN THE USA TO CONVERT EVEN 1/2 OF THE GASOLINE CARS TO ELECTRIC. THE GRID IS JUST NOT THERE YET!
