I picked up a 2016 Escalade at the end of March. I negotiated hard and got it for $1500 over trade-in. Now the trade-in value is $5000 over what I paid. Unheard of.
My '09 Infiniti has been in the dealer's shop for 1 1/2 months waiting for an OEM alternator. Luckily they gave me a 2021 loaner .. LOL. Beware, the parts availability issues are mounting.
Had to buy a 2018 kia forte because new cars cost so much and aren't availablebecauseof the chip shortage, , figured I didn't do half bad because I got the bumper to bumper warranty that covers all maintenance except brakes until 100k.

I got a good deal on a 2020 4Runner at the beginning of the Pandemic. The dealership is now selling used 2018 4Runners for $3k more than I paid brand new.
That sounds like massive inflation to me.

Atleast the old Volvo’s are cheap. I found some old 850s for sale for about 5 grand and less for like 120,000 miles.
