Props, Scotty.
I've had my card skimmed before. Thankfully the card company caught the suspicious activity, didn't charge me for it and had me a new card in less than a week. I always give the scanners a second glance now.
If my wife got in the car and a stack of 100 dollar bills was across both windshield wipers, she would not know it was there.
Over 20 years, never had an issue with debit card phishing. I use contactless or pay inside(of reputable places). Cash is great too. Also, use credit cards for transactions like this. You have far more protections available to you than with your debit. Nothing worse than going to pay rent and your debit account is empty. At least with credit you're not going to be in that situation.
Don’t use a “debit card” . Use a credit card , they have protection against fraudulent charges ! Also , I always stop the pump at a number that ends in a “7” so I can quickly scan my card bill at the end of the month for any charge that is not mine.
Someone gets my AMEX number they eat it and give me new cards. Never had it happen.
0:23 Scotty did not show one of his best tips, how to hang your gas cap on the gas cap lid !!!
Scotty. The popup pic of Pelosi when you were talking about crooks is worth more :thumbs-ups" than YouTube will allow me to give you.
another thing that happened in my city, a good fella helped another driver with his dead battery. while they were connecting all the wires, some scumbag jumped in the fella's car & took off. not sure if it was a setup but regardless, always have ur keys with u regardless of the circumstances.
I use a work glove in my left hand that slips off easily to touch anything at a gas station or door knobs or handles in public places and my office. I keep slip off the glove and keep it in my trunk.
