    Scotty that is a horror story for sure but not the most common problem, they always check your air filter too and they rarely get the breather box back together correctly and dirt gets past the filter.

    Hey Scotty, greetings from Germany my Grandparents and I drive a Mercedes A-Class from 2008 with a diesel engine. Eventho they payed a lotta money for it they got a model with a motorblock that was never really secured. So it's shaking really really hard. My grandparents wasn't persistent enough to acutally go to the dealer and tell that this car has still a serious problem.
    So for everybody else be tough and tell your dealer the problem and tell 'em to fix a problem like this.

    I've done it myself and I didn't put the filter on tight enough. There was an oil streak down from my house for about a year I wanna say. Luckily, it was an Acura legend and the engine didn't seize. Drove it about 2 miles before I realized what had happened. Luckily I was at a Walmart and bought all new oil right then and there. Based off of the oil leak, I went about 1.4 miles with no oil in my engine, essentially.
