What are your thoughts and concerns on a 2008 Nissan Quest 3.5 SE minivan with the five-speed automatic transmission?

I have a similar car although mine is the 4 door sedan however it has the same drive train. I bought it used in 2004 with 15k on it and I still have it 17+ years later with 133k. I had new struts and tires put on it last year and it still runs well. I unexpectedly had to have the timing belt/water pump job redone last year after the water pump failed but otherwise it has been very reliable. My passenger side window regulator failed too but I had to have it replaced since the window would not stay up. This is a well designed car and there are still many of them on the road today.

Hey Scotty, I always trust your advice. It's coming up time to change my 2018 Nissan Rogue's cvt transmission fluid. I was thinking about using Amsoil, but I would like your opinion. I don't know if it's okay to mix a little of the old with the new as some will be left with a drain and fill. What do you think?

People say putting money in a Old Vehicle is a waste . Personally I don't think like that . Those couple Items You mention ,Window Motor and rebuilt Trans is actually a very cheap way to go on a vehicle that is still in pretty nice condition ! Buying Used vehicles today is Expensive ! Not going to get much unless you spend 10 to 15 , maybe 20 grand , so that its not going to Nickle and Dime you to Death . Plus even at that Price it will have a good amount of Miles on it ! Payments for a Yr would be well over what it would cost to fix it and keep it running good ! Plus your not Locked into Payments for 4 plus yrs on another Used Vehicle ! I would put some money into it , Sounds and looks to good to not give it some LOVE , LOL
