Bought. 2015 Toyota Prius with 127k less than a month later water pump failed and the main battery was starting to fail. Both of which are common problems with the Prius. Still waiting to see if I made a bad choice or not.
Many US Corporations have adopted the Kaizen philosophy as a way of continually improving production. However it is not always successful because in the end, many focus on the bottom line and in the end, it’s nothing more than rhetoric. GM is an example of this failed approach.
So they copy German cars with lesser quality materials and are considered geniuses…oh my.
Everyone forgets German cars put 2 million miles on them driving in horrific terrain and conditions where all Japanese cars would disintegrate within 3 weeks.
1996 Toyota finally achieved 200,000 miles on one car only not all of them.
Toyota being used as a tough grocery getter on perfect USA streets.
Does anyone care about facts or history?
I bought a used 2011 Camry with 36k, after putting 100k problem free miles on it, it was wrecked by another car. I was very dissapointed I lost it, but it really took a hit and I walked away. So I found another used 2016 with 18K and plan to drive it till 300k maybe more. Summer and winter tires make all the difference.
