Scotty, you're wrong. The quality IS there. It's what Fiat considers to meet their requirements. It doesn't meet your expectations but that doesn't mean it isn't a quality product.
You may be right about these Jeeps of this generation Scotty… But, go back 25 years ago when AMC sold the Jeep name to Chrysler, Chrysler kept using as its main power plant the AMC 4.0 straight six engine! They continued until 2004..before they were using a V6 which in comparison to the 4.0, were far less reliable! I've got a 2000 Grand Cherokee with the bulletproof 4.0 engine with 170,000 miles on it, and it's virtually trouble free! Other than a new radiator, the car is all original! I just maintain it with regular oil changes, and it's an extremely reliable vehicle! I would advise anyone looking to buy a Jeep to look for anything before 2005, and you've got yourself a great SUV! There's plenty of them available on FACEBOOK Marketplace at reasonable prices!

They should learn with the Japanese I mean the real one, they are selling ok, but soon they won't as sooner as they start to break down and all the problems, like expensive parts, things breaking easily, people stop buying them

I dont know if this only pertains to the newer compass' made by fiat/Chrysler but my girl has an 07 compass with 230k+ on the original engine and trans and it actually runs and drives surprisingly well.
I've never had a good opinion of anything made by modern Chrysler.
