I rented two of these when I left California and moved to Texas. I had an alternator that died. But where I lost a lot of time is climbing the Tahatchapie mountains. Every thousand feet I had to shut her down because she kept over heating and the alarm light and buzzer kept going off. If I remember correctly the truck only had 40 K on the engine.

I've seen a lot of old 5 ton army trucks for sale and I bet those would be nice too. I drove the 7 ton truck in the marines and I put them through their paces and didn't have a problem ever, they had a CAT engine with an Allison transmission.
