I had paint-chip samples from a '66 Porsche brochure. One chip was an exact color match to WW2 German Afrika Korps desert tan. (I thought it was an odd color for a sports car—-instead of a tank).
Black also radiates the most heat. Reason polar bears are white
Gray colored cars are really hard to see when its raining and the driver doesn't have the good sense to turn on the headlights.
When Henry Ford introduced the Model T, he said that it is available in any color the customer wants, so long as it was black.

I think Toyota was first it called Cement on the TC Scion, but in the 80’s a lot of guys were the original pioneers it was called Grey lacquer Primer LOL
