Absolute nonsense. The 80s-90s bronco was a beautiful reliable beast.
The year was 1976 I was working on a Gas station, and we workers there still filled the cars, with Gas, (before it became DIY and people filled it up on their own)
Now this was in a very southern town in Austria near the Border of Italy.
One day one guy came in with a Puch 500 (the originally Fiat 500) those tiny vehicles, (one could lift up with one had, but this will be another story) and a co-worker filled up the Gas (about 20 Liters of it) and as the custom was back then he asked if he can top off the oil in the car. The driver said go ahead, and it needed some oil. Now somehow he screwed the oil-cap up not tight enough and the guy went over the Border to Italy. Tarvis was a place People would drive their Puch's to get spare-parts. This Puch used to be driven in Rally-races, and the previous owner had put a additional Oil-pressure meter and warning light right in front of the drivers vision. To his horror the light came on, an as luck was on his side, there was a Gas-Staten for him to pull in in a short distance ahead.
Stopped the Puch on one side Parking-spot opened the Rear-hood and found that
some drops of oil was dripping down the engine, the cap gone. He waited some time, let it cool down and he had still his old spare Oil-cap with him, put that on, so he was able to finish the ride to the shop where he wanted to buy some other parts for his Puch. And of course a new oil cap, which he demanded my co-worker had to pay for it.
Just saw my first Bronco!
SCOTTY WHAT IS THE BEST DIESEL ENGINE I CAN GET ???????????????
Wait a minute, this is a review of the Bronco SPORT, which is different than the Bronco. No one cares about the Sport edition, I want Scotty to review the Bronco.
