Scotty ive been disappointed in yout videos lately they've become some negative it seems you have nothing to good to say about any kind of car Lately
as far as the military side of things I wouldn't call the HMMWV a failure, as time progressed it was brought into situations that it was never designed for. when it was designed in the late 70s and early 80's we had not yet fought in wars like the conflicts in the middle east, they were never designed with IEDs in mind. or with guerilla-style warfare in mind. I don't think you can really fault it for having to deal with upfits, the additional weight from armor, and conditions it was never really designed for. now as far as the h1, id say that was really designed for a niche market. the h2 tried to be more mainstream but was just kinda impractical, and by the time they got to the h3 they had really strayed far from what the original was, quality probably wasn't the best, and I'm sure the economy/high fuel prices didn't help with that either
The Hummer was a fad that went too far. I think it makes an ugly limo.
the commercial hummer was based on the GMC Truck chassis of the time. Just some faux bodywork to look like a hummer. So the 2 have no parts in common. The Hummer was not created as an Armoured vehicle, it replaced the Jeep in service since WW2. It was a great leap forward, still is a great Vehicle. You, sir know absolutely nothing about them, apparently.
