Imagine you're broken down on the side of the road, and Scotty pulls up in his 94 Celica and offers you help. What a sight for sore eyes!

  2. For me it was Tuesday.

Are the new lt1 engines more reliable than an ls3 engine?

Hey Scotty, I've got a Nissan Cherry 1.5 GL from 1986 European model. It probably has a bad bearing in the transmission and the garage told me they would take the transmission out, let it be fixed somewhere and put it back in for around 800 euro's (around 900 USD), however, i payed 300 euro's for the car and put a total of 700 in it myself in parts already. I love the car to bits, is this worth it?

Another thought on auto start-stop. Many things have to function properly for a car to run. A few more things have to function for a car to start. Almost all cars will fail to start due to one of these issues at some point in their life. Would you rather that happen in your driveway or when you come to a stop during a traffic jam on the freeway? As these cars age, they will become a major traffic hazard over minor issues, like battery wear out or corroded terminals. I predict there will be recalls to disable this system and carmakers will be back on the hook for older cars not meeting promised CAFE standards.
