It also has a lot to do with your car enthusiast versus your modern every day commuter, your modern every day commuter will drive anything with four wheels on it as long as it is reliable they could care less about what it looks like, then there is the car Enthusiast where stock anything just doesn’t cut it, the car could run 100% perfect but they want to express themselves through their vehicle and make it their own car before they really appreciate it…. and the truth is these two people will never understand one another ?

When it comes to meeting the CAFE requirements, those stop start systems are so popular because they recieve a fuel economy credit for utilizing technology like that. This is beyond the additional fuel economy benefits it gets in the city. Other technologies that also yield fuel economy credits include LED headlights.

Hey Scotty, Love your videos! If and when you get around to it, I'd love to see your comments on the GMC Jimmy. I've just spent all summer, resurrecting my late son's 2000. Kind of a labor of love. Heart of the problems, was a persistent miss in #6. I've installed a new/used upgraded spider, new gas filter (could hardly blow through the old one), all new brake lines, new fuel sender, new main gas line, from the filter back, new radiator (a tough fit), new plug wires, cap and rotor, etc…. Fire up is tomorrow!

Cause of magazine-worshipping fanboys who memorize all the Ring, 0-60, 1/4 mile, and G-force results and think picking a good car is as simple as looking at a spreadsheet……. Then they think liking their favorite car means excluding all others. Then there's the influence of advertising money and freebies that the magazines and "influencers" get.
