Got a 2007 Honda Jazz with a CVT. Its not bad going downhill, it seems to just hold its speed when you take your foot off the accelerator.
Of course, this doesn't apply to hybrid CVTs, which operate on a totally different principle, and provide excellent regen braking.
I have a 2018 Nissan Sentra and gone from Houston to Mazatlan Mexico and back ,and gone from Houston to the Grand Canyon and back with no issues
Is a 2019 Ram 1500 Classic Tradesman V6 Quad cab 8 speed transmission for $23499 a good deal.

I have experienced the CVT issue in the mountains of eastern TN/western NC. I wish that I had heard these series of videos 5 years ago when I purchased our van.
My subaru forester 2.0XT has an awesome CVT in it. Flappy paddles allow for "gear" changes, and because you can manually change the ratio it allows for engine braking to slow down 😉 or for going down hill. Also, shes got 290,000Km on the clock and the CVT is still going strong which is surprising for a 2015.
Your mistake was getting a Ford
I thought the “Foceye” were DCTs..?
