In regarding buying an old Datsun pick-up. I had a 81 I bought brand new. It was a very good pick- up. The problem I had was that the right frame rail rotted out. From the factory they ran the evaporator drain hose in the right frame rail. Eventually the entire rail rotted. Check that rail before purchasing. Hope this ma help someone. God Bless America.

In 1957 A coupje if buddies and I trailered a used plymouth engine ($15) to a lake cottage where the guy's plymouth (just replaced) engine had blown a rod. We pushed it under a low RR bridge hooked a chain hoist up and swapped it out. We parties with the girls at the cabin that night. In the morning pushed it until it started – flat crank! He sold the works to a scrap yard and I WON"T GO NEAR A CHRYSLER ever again. Girls were nice tho.
