Re battery leakage. In some cases devices can switch on when the car is left parked. So the static leakage current might not tell you. I've heard of people hooking up chart recorders to check the leakage current over long periods. And from what I know testing a battery is not as simple as testing the voltage. How it behaves under load is another thing.
Scotty, I was a tinter for more than 10 years as an owner. The better films made with (the claim is) titanium will reject just as much heat and solar radiation is even the darkest films. There are films that you can put on glass that will be impossible to detect, but will improve the performance of you A/C unit and keep the interior in better condition. Putting the darker film on is actually more dangerous, since under cloudy conditions, or in darkness, it makes it nearly impossible to see pedestrians, bicycles, or even vehicles that have forgotten their lights.
Window tint if you’re in an illegal state is a huge waste of time and energy. Just pretend your windows are tinted and you won’t get pulled over for just your car itself
