A lot of auto are seemingly becoming "throw aways", in my estimation. Not designed to last, and in instances, not designed to be repaired.
You preach the truth Scotty!!! and People ask me why I drive an old car that I've been driving for years and working on getting rid of all the cheap junk plastic parts lol why would I get rid of all the plastic parts in my car, fix everything with quality metal replacements then give it away to someone else, and then start all over with a "New" plastic fill piece of junk???!!! lol
You can really thank the federal government for all the plastic. With the gradually increasing fuel economy standards, the latest increases passed by the Obama administration (and delayed by Trump recently), automakers are doing everything possible to make cars as light as possible. Ergo, metal being replaced with plastic – not only for the reasons mentioned here.
When I try to start my 2017 ford fiesta, I turn the key and the starter just keeps cranking and I have trouble turning the key to the off position. Is the solenoid bad or does the ignition barrel just need oiling?
