I was thinking the same until I rented and tried Toyota Sienna. You have to be 10 kids mom or pretty old person to accept that driving experience 🙈So, I bought BMW X5 and life is great!
I never understood the dislike of minivans, and unless you tow a trailer often they are better. But!!!
I always buy used for cash, and there are seldom good deals on reliable minivans they usually get the snot beat out of them. I can usually get a better deal on large Sedans… like my Buick Luzerne

Remember before the prius, everyone HATED minivans.
Problem is minivans/vans are negatively stereotyped when it comes to marketing and by some car enthusiasts.

We have always had a minivan! Great people and cargo hauler. My 2019 Chrysler Pacifica with stow and go seats has been phenomenal thus far.
