Complains the 86 is not fast, but the Miata is ? also the Subaru Engine makes more HP then the Miata engine. The Miata is a 2 seater so its much smaller meaning less weight its only advantage and that's down to the design….but the 86 has plenty more room and you can fold down the seats. I recently did a road trip in the 86 and managed to fit a lot of luggage, sorry the MX5 I couldn't take that on a road trip. Reliability is a non issue in the 86 production from 2014 onwards, plenty of examples with over 200 000km's with minimal issues. The biggest issue they have is a recall for earlier models but I have the 2017 with the updated and revised engine so any issues were ironed out, they also strengthened the engine to take more HP. Also handling shows they are similar in ability, will come down to how good the driver is in a race.

Thank you Scotty I bought a new Subaru and it as nothing but trouble. Im stunned they have the reputation of being quality built abs reliable. I was a frequent flyer in the service department waiting room. It was always. FULL of unhappy customers like myself. They leak oil !
