    I owned a brand new 2012 Kia Rio that never shifted right until I changed both O2 sensors, with the very best I could buy, at 90,000 miles. Shifted great for about 30.000 miles until other problems showed up. I still despise every millisecond I owned that car. It was always telling me it was going to strand me somewhere at any time.

    Actually Kias DID get better… and then worse again. Blame the CVT.

    I have a 2022 Kia Forte GT and it's been great. Fun zippy car that in many ways is better than the Civic Si. BUT it is made in Mexico. I'm trading it in for a Camry TRD.

    Kia has a more complex hybrid system and more expensive to fix. Don't care about these individual stories, they're still not the best choice compared to other brands. There's people out there that have gone 200k on jeep Patriots with "0 problems" but is there a sane mechanic that would recommend them for a working man? If there's is one, he's getting rich off some poor town.
