I drive a Toyota with 260,000 miles and used to own a Kia with 100,000 miles. The Toyota has been way more reliable than the Kia.

My wife bought a brand new 1994 top of the line Fort Taurus station wagon with the 2.8L v6 and Axod transaxle. It came with a 3 yr/36,000 warrantee. All during the warrantee period we had it in the dealer complaining of transaxle symptoms and we kept the paperwork with the complaints and every time they said they could not reproduce the symptoms (felt like the tranny was slipping at times and suddenly lurching at traffic lights. etc) Just before the warrantee expired, the tranny was whining and I was told it was the serpentine belt. I told them ok it is under warrantee so replace it. They said it was a wear item and would be 200 dollars to replace. at 37,000 miles while on a trip ( all highway driving) the tranny failed completely. Ford said it would cost over 2,500 dollars to put a remanufactured one in. Brought ita to an independent for 2,000 dollars and with a nationwide warrantee for 3 yrs which i had to use. Brought Ford to court because I had all the paperwork and Ford said I did not take proper care of the tranny by not changing the fluid. Even with the paperwork, the court ruled it was past the warrantee period and Ford was not liable. Form that point on, me, my wife, family, and friends all bought Hondas and we are so happy now
