Narc cars, detective cars, vice cars, they were all PATROL cars first.
No department gives the brand new cars to anyone but the chief & the patrol units. The other guys get the semi-refurbished clunkers.

Just rented a JL while in Virginia for a funeral. Spent 2 hours working on the driver’s seat at THE CEMETERY because a small plastic piece located between the upper and lower seat tracks broke preventing the seat back from moving back and allowing the seat to lock. Completely undrivable… found a TSB online, not an easy fix or workaround. Total POS.
Most modern Honda automatic transmissions are NOT anywhere close to being considered " reliable" especially they're CVT and dual-clutch Transmissions. The only other cars that were worse between 2014-2016 are the Chrysler 200 and the Ford Focus.
