The disadvantage of fans is that they can be damaged quickly.

A single payer healthcare system means that people any employers will no longer pay health insurance premiums. California residents can currently expect to pay an average of $487 per person* for a major medical individual health insurance plan. The tax increases you rant about would be more than offset by the cost savings for the average family.
In any case, you're beating a dead horse, since the bill died over a week ago in the California legislature. The United States of America remains the only industrialized nation not to have universal healthcare, and it means we also have the lowest national life expectancy compared to larger industrialized countries.
Another LIE is that the government can not administer programs efficiently. Medicare and Medicaid have much lower administration costs than private health insurance, and have contain costs better as well.
