This guy does a decent rimjob.
Also they sell well because for the amount of performance that these fairly modern BMW produce, their engines are surprisingly good on fuel efficiency if you dont always drive them fast.
Edit: 0:58 What comes to about rims, thats not a problem that cannot be solved. Just get rid of those biggest rims, low profile tires. Then buy 1-2 inch smaller rims with higher profile tires, that will reduce risk of cracked/broken wheels if you hit some pot holes. Because there will be thicker layer of tire/rubber to protect the smaller rims from damage.
If i had millions in the bank like scotty i would buy one.(:-)
Enough with the plastic crap bashing already! Here's a novel idea – don't keep a black car in the 130F direct sun light ALL DAY EVERYDAY!!!! I have a 15 yo E90 with ALL the plastic crap and the roads around here look like a lunar landscape and guess what, I've replaced nothing but fluids for 7 years now.
I actually just transferred my old tires that came from my 2000 Plymouth voyager to my newish 2004 dodge caravan and they're great. I never in all my years of driving my 2000 voyager replaced my rims.
HEre's how I see it. Its about the brand and not the vehicle itself. Thats why my 2004 caravan is better than a bmw. BEcause the parts are easy to acquire, and I get a long life out of the vehicle, and I have room inside to relax. I camp out alot in my van down by the river close to where I live. Port Huron has water ways.
I was so close to buy an used 2008 M6 with 85K miles. Instead I bought an 07 Corvette with 59K miles. Don't regret it 1 bit
I still want one.
