Scotty always fights his own logic. His biggest selling point is how to get economic, trouble free transportation. His personal experience is a 94 Toyota celica. In this video, the person is leasing a Hyundai, 230$ per month, 2,760$ per year. I do not see the "saving" here. For my personal car, I bought new crude eco manual in 2012, purchasing price was 17,500$. It has been with me for almost 10 years, with 70k miles. I do my own maintenance, 5,000 mile or one year oil change, I also changed out manual transmission oil at 6th year ownership, 50k miles. I only had a water outlet leaking at 4th year ownership, and it was a 50$ parts and 2 hour wrenching. I really enjoy cruze and see many more year and mileage out of it. Well, in Scotty's view, Cruz is from GM and it is a piece of junk.
My wife needs 4-wheel drive for dry pavement……
