I used to work at a Ford dealership. When Corporate brings a new vehicle to the dealerships, they are typically pre-production, which is why only a select few are allowed to drive them. It's a liability/legal thing. When they receive the production versions, they'll let you do whatever.

To be honest, many are not running, because they are missing computers. The silicon shortage, has hurt them as well as other industries.

Scotty to be honest, no manufacturer is gonnna let you test drive their cars cause they know you find flaws with their new cars (like always) and people won’t buy them.

Tell my friend Jim Farley, CEO of Ford Motor Company. He sat next to me at Toyota Motor Sales. He'll listen to you.
