Recall on the new 2019 2020 dodge ram 1500 air bag doe not deploy upon imact.affecting all new pickup trucks.
Scotty with all due respect , ford had big proplems with rattle in their engines gm lot of proplems toyota tundra the worst your proplem with fca is personal it's obvious , i bought lot of mopar cars on my they are pretty good and reailble my brother had cmary 2015 with lot of powertrain and ac proplems !
I know you aren't too fond of Minis, but my '03 Cooper S has only had ONE recall in its entire life (the electrohydraulic steering pump) and it wasn't even an affected model, and it's still doing fine. It's really a good car when you get past some of the esoteric issues that are few and far between, although some of the parts are a bit pricey.
Ha ha ha ha. That driveshaft for the Ram is made by GKN Driveline in Timberlake NC.
Will never buy anything post Diamler Chrysler. My 2nd Gen 97 Ram 1500 has always served me well. Bought her in '08 with only 88,000 odo. Today she has about 220,000 all original powertrain. 5.2L V8 coupled to a 46RE trans w/ Chrysler 9.25 rear. From day one I've used only Rotella 15w 40 w/ Mopar filter for the engine. Castrol full synthetic ATF4 w/ Mopar filter for the trans. Lucas full synthetic gear oil w/ Mopar friction modifier for the diff. No knocking, smoking, or hesitation. Only major expenses were a new intake manifold gasket in '09 and a catalytic converter in '13. Other than that all normal wear items were replaced in my driveway.
American cars are garbage
Scotty 90% of my bashing is FCA. But I'm not bias.
All manufacturers have recalls, but you'd think they would have driveshafts figured out by now
Scotty, what year, model, engine, drivetrain. Toyota Tundra would you recommend buying used/new?
Carl
I am very happy with my 2014 Ram 1500 so far with 88000 miles on it (we did buy it new). It hasn’t had any problems at all so far other than the driver’s clothe seat starting to wear due to the truck being high of the ground and hard to get in. I will make sure to update you Scotty if FCA reliability starts to plague me.
