The US government should never have meddled in the car market in 2008. We bailed-out Chrysler and GM (mostly the unions) where the best thing in the long term would have been to allow these non-competitive companies to fail (Econ 101). Now Government Motors and Fiat-Chrysler are still making lousy cars that still can’t compete.
