I hope to drive my chevy diesel into the ground. I have changed every fluid, oil, and filter in this truck religiously. I have spent so many days "just making sure" everything is in tip top shape. Looks and runs like brand new with 140k on the clock. Absolutely love it. All stock too, no smoke.
Yup, that 350 v8 helps alot too. I had an 1989 model. It was a good truck also.

Hey that transmission on the Silverado is the same one running in my '96 s10 , thee ol' 4L60E. Only mine is at 215K…still going but I think it's that time for a rebuild. It's starting to slip between the 1-2 shift point but the 90s trucks were pretty darn reliable when taken care of!
I was just looking at one of these this morning! Scotty must be a mind reader too!
My neighbor has one-I’m going to buy it from him😀🙏🏿👍🏿
GM is responsible for the quality not Mexico, they build per what GM says. This a typical problem some where in the GM quality system likely changed the torque, tooling or process and that was never transferred to Mexico. Why because GM failed to record the change they made and just incorported the change without documentation. I see this in every US company and it comes out in spades when they move the process out the home factory.
Happy 4 million subscribers Scotty!
