    We in the middle east used trust and love American cars not anymore, we switched to Japanese cars after Americans started to manufacturer everything abroad like in China or other places for lower cost.

    I bought a brand new 94 Silverado extended cab 4×4 in October 93. Had the truck for 25 years. It never let us down. Sold it a few years back to get something newer.

    I recall the 1989 GM commercial claiming that “GM is putting quality on the road NOW.” And my friend’s 1988 Pontiac Grand Prix front door FELL OFF THE CAR in his driveway when his wife opened the door after a grocery store trip, and it had 25k miles on it at the time. So I personally would not expect quality in any GM product from the 80s or 90s or 2000s.

    My crown vics got an oil leak and it leaks about 2/3 a quart a month. It still gets decent oil pressure so im not quite sure if i need to get it fixed or not

    GM back in the day used to make some pretty good vehicles And yeah GM gets crap about it all the time for having the same cars with different badges on them but the advantage with that is parts availability they're all dirt cheap because alot of their vehicles have interchangeable parts old GM trucks are a good buy Now the passenger vehicles That may be a different story depending on the era
